1. Our Commitment

Abraham Oviedo Services, LLC DBA Big Asere is committed to ensuring that our website at bigasere.pages.dev is accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard.

We believe that everyone — regardless of ability — should be able to order food and access our services easily. Accessibility is not an afterthought for us; it is part of how we build.

This statement was last reviewed in July 2026. We review and update our accessibility practices on an ongoing basis.

2. Measures We Take

Big Asere takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

🏗

Semantic HTML5 Structure

We use proper HTML5 semantic elements — headings (h1–h6), landmarks (nav, main, footer), and sectioning elements — so screen readers can navigate the page effectively.

🏷

ARIA Labels on Interactive Elements

Buttons, form fields, and interactive components include descriptive aria-label and aria-describedby attributes to support screen readers.

🎨

Sufficient Color Contrast

Our design uses dark backgrounds (#0a0a0a) with white text — exceeding WCAG AA contrast requirements for normal text. Our accent color (#E23744 red) on dark backgrounds meets WCAG AA for large text. We regularly verify contrast ratios during design updates.

⌨️

Keyboard Navigable Interface

All interactive elements (buttons, links, form fields) are reachable and operable via keyboard navigation. Focus indicators are visible. Tab order follows a logical reading sequence.

🖼

Alt Attributes on Images

All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images use alt="" so screen readers skip them appropriately.

📱

Responsive Design for Mobile & Zoom

Our platform is fully responsive and supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. Text and layouts reflow properly on mobile and tablet devices.

🌐

Bilingual Support

All key pages support English and Spanish via our language toggle. The lang attribute is set on the HTML element to help screen readers use the correct pronunciation rules.

3. Known Limitations

While we strive for WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance, we acknowledge the following known limitations:

  • Dynamic content: Some content loaded dynamically via JavaScript (such as live order status updates and map elements) may not be fully accessible to all screen readers. We are actively working to improve this.
  • Third-party embeds: Third-party components such as Cloudflare Turnstile and the Stripe payment form are outside our direct control. We have selected providers who maintain their own accessibility standards.
  • Google Maps: The maps component used for address lookup may have limited screen reader support in some configurations. Alternative address entry is always available via text input.

We are committed to continuously improving accessibility and resolving known issues. If you encounter any barrier, please contact us — your feedback directly informs our development priorities.

4. Browser & Screen Reader Compatibility

Big Asere is designed and tested for compatibility with the following environments:

Browsers

  • Google Chrome (latest)
  • Mozilla Firefox (latest)
  • Apple Safari (latest)
  • Microsoft Edge (latest)
  • Mobile Chrome / Safari

Screen Readers

  • NVDA (Windows)
  • VoiceOver (macOS / iOS)
  • JAWS (Windows)
  • TalkBack (Android)

We do not guarantee full compatibility with older browser versions or assistive technologies outside this list, though we aim for broad compatibility.

5. Technical Specifications

Big Asere relies on the following technologies for accessibility:

  • HTML5 (semantic structure)
  • CSS3 (responsive layout, focus styles)
  • WAI-ARIA 1.1 (roles and labels)
  • JavaScript (progressive enhancement — core functionality available without JS is maximized)

6. Feedback & Contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of Big Asere. If you experience any barriers while using our site, please let us know so we can work to fix them.

Response time: We aim to respond within 2 business days.

What to include: The page or feature you're trying to use, the assistive technology you're using, and a description of the barrier you encountered.

7. Physical Accessibility

Physical accessibility standards (such as ADA compliance for physical locations) are not applicable to Big Asere, as we are a delivery-only service with no physical retail or customer-facing location. All of our services are provided digitally through our website and communications.
